A 33-year-old police constable shot three people including his girlfriend at the Cape Town International Airport’s food court on Wednesday. The man then turned the gun on himself.
According to Cape Town police the man arrived at the airport around 6pm to go talk to his girlfriend who worked at the Ocean Basket at the airport. The couple then began to argue and the man allegedly took out his gun and shot his partner and two other employees at the restaurant.
He then shot himself in the head.
The motive for the killing is still unknown. An inquest docket and attempted murder dockets have been opened in the matter.
