Babes Wodumo’s ‘lifeless’ performance goes viral

A video of South African singer Babes Wodumo’s ‘lifeless’ performance at the Buyel’Ekhaya Music Festival has gone viral social media.

The video was shared on Twitter and has been retweeted 1 193 times.

A usually energetic Babes can be seen walking unwillingly onto the stage and barely making any effort to give fans a memorable show.

Babes hit back at critics who slammed her performance, saying that she was threatened before going on stage.

Organizers of the Buyel’Ekhaya Music Festival claimed Babes missed her flight and failed to arrive at the event on time.

When she finally arrived, Babes refused to perform.

“On route to the stadium Babes Wodumo made a demand, to our artist manager Sharif Baker, to go to her hotel to take a bath. This was rejected as she had to get on stage immediately as the Venue Operations Committee had resolved to switch the music off at the venue by 04:30am. On arrival at the venue at 03:00am, Babes Wodumo refused to perform.”
