Course landaise is a form of bullfighting that involves no bloodshed and cows, as opposed to bulls.
Toreros (fighters) are either écarteurs (dodgers) who avoid the charging cow at the very last moment with feints, or sauteurs (leapers) who vault over the cow at the very last moment.
Gracefulness of movement and courage are the order of the day for this competition.
