EFF MP Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has challenged SACP and Cosatu members in Parliament to vote with the opposition in the upcoming motion of no confidence, claiming that South African President Jacob Zuma is “beyond repair”.
Zuma has come in for severe criticism recently, after his controversial reshuffle of the cabinet, which saw Pravin Gordhan removed as finance minister.
“Zuma is a kleptomaniac, meaning he is beyond repair as an individual. He cannot but steal,” said Ndlozi, who was addressing an open forum in Cape Town, alongside SACP deputy general secretary Jeremy Cronin and Cosatu Western Cape secretary Tony Ehrenreich.
“The test is not December 2017 and the ANC’s elective conference. The test is in Parliament, now. If we do not remove Zuma now, you will not be able to remove him in December 2017,” added Ndlozi.
“It’s going to come from within the ANC and the alliance. He will lock you up, if he has to. We have to remove him now, and we debate it after.”
