Three suspects who allegedly tried to steal from a Shoprite store appeared in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Thursday.
The three men, believed to be Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) supporters, also allegedly threatened the staff inside the store.
According to police, the men were part of a group of EFF supporters who marched to the Union buildings on Tuesday. The men allegedly went to the Shoprite store after the march.
Captain Daniel Mavimbela said the suspects were charged with intimidation and theft. They were released on bail of R500 each.
The case was postponed to August 28.
