Two of the only five remaining mature Desert Elephants bulls that occupied the Ugab region of Namibia have recently been hunted.
Two endangered lionesses were killed after being lured out of Hwange National Park in Zimbabwe to a hunting trap set up using meat from a cow they allegedly killed the previous night. One of the two lionesses was reportedly pregnant when she was gunned down.
A reward of R100 000 has been offered by the Western Cape Community Safety Department for any information that would lead to the arrests of suspects in recent police murders in the Cape.
Thus far, 15 people have been arrested in the investigation regarding the 18 killings of MPs from various parties in the build up to the 3 August elections.

The African National Congress (ANC) in KwaZulu-Natal has called on provincial premier Willies Mchunu to address the number of political killings in recent weeks.
After the latest deaths outside the fairly new Mall of Africa in Midrand, Gauteng, the South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) has called on the government to intervene.
“The first suspect was arrested before noon and the other two were arrested later on the same day. All the suspects are from Imbali Township,” he said.
