StatsSA has stepped in to help singles in SA find love by plotting a map showing the areas where high concentrations of singles live.
The revision of the CPI formula has been done to highlight the changes in consumer spending patters in South Africa, during the past four years. However, the end goal is for Stats SA and the findings that it makes to remain relevant.
Stats SA Deputy Director-General Joe de Beer says the country’s headline figure, the real gross domestic product (GDP), grew by 3.3 percent in the second quarter of 2016.

According to the Statistician-General, South Africa’s unemployment currently sits at 26 percent, while expanded unemployment was now at 36 percent.
