Supra Mahumapelo said the province’s relationship with Botswana had never been more crucial, as both regions continue with their quest to develop rural villages.

The North West Premier became the subject of ridicule this week, when a song attributed to the North West Business Forum went viral. The ANC Women’s League said it was not impressed by the audio, primarily because of its reported source but also because of its contents.
The union federation said the matter did not fall under Mahumapelo’s jurisdiction, adding that the alleged interference on his part was unwarranted.
The man was arrested in Kuruman, while two cell phones believed to have been used in the commissioning of the alleged crimes were also confiscated.
Mahumapelo said that while any form of protest was acceptable, the taking of another man’s life was not, adding that this latest incident would not derail government’s plans.
That the risk of fires increases significantly during winter is well known, but Mahumapelo does not think that people take the necessary precautions during this period.
The suggestion has been made that Mahumapelo would close all those parlours, so he could advance his own business interests in the province. The Premier said the rumours were simply malicious and absurd.
