Western Province and Stormers lock Jean Kleyn is set to further his career with PRO12 side Munster according to reports in the South African media.
Netwerk24 reports that WP Rugby have released the 22-year-old from his contract so that he can hook up with the Irish province after this year’s Super Rugby tournament.
Kleyn, who has represented the Stormers in 17 matches since his debut in 2014, is believed to have set his sights on representing Ireland at Test level one day.
He will join the South African Rugby Union’s former high performance manager Rassie Erasmus at Munster. Erasmus recently signed a three-year contract to be Munster’s director of rugby.
