CT woman accused of ordering a hit on her husband back in court

The Cape Town woman accused of trying to arrange her husband’s murder is expected to appear again in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday.

Petina Coetzee, 44, was arrested following a sting operation conducted by police in October 2016. She was arrested at Lansdowne Railway Station, where she attempted to organise to have her husband, Austin Coetzee 67, murdered.

Coetzee is facing a charge of conspiracy to commit murder, but was released on R30 000 bail.

At a previous appearance, Coetzee’s husband petitioned the court to amend her bail conditions as their children were suffering. He also told the court that he wanted to renew contact with her for the sake of their children.
