Cassper Nyovest admitted that rapper A-Reece and media personality Somizi performed at #FillUpFnbStadium for free.
In an interview with DJ Sbu, Cassper broke down the costs of the gig, saying that the most important part of the gig was fighting for a date.
"You go to the stadium and you fight for a date, before anything. You fight for a date with Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates and then they say, ‘okay, here’s a date, we’re gonna need R900,000’ and you’re like ‘okay'," he said.
Cassper said that he had to fork out R5.2 million for the stage this year.
"You still have to fly these people that are building the stage, the whole team, they’re called Formative… They’re based in Cape Town. Some of the dudes are from London but they are set-up here."
He went on to say he also had to fork out to pay the artists who performed at the gig.
Cassper said he was grateful for A-Reece and Somizi who wanted to do the show for free.
