Chicago authorities say they are disgusted, after a 21-year-old rookie teacher was accused of sexually assaulting one of her pupils.
The 21-year-old Elizabeth Flint – a teacher at Glenbard East High School – is expected to make her next court appearance in June, where she will be expected to answer to allegations that she slept with a 17-year-old pupil three times this year.
DuPage County State Attorney Robert Berlin spoke to the Daily Herald about the allegations and just how seriously his department was taking them.
“The allegations against (Flint) are, simply put, disgusting,” said Berlin this week.
The encounters are believed to have happened at her house.
“It is alleged that she used her position of trust and authority to sexually assault a minor student on three separate occasions. This type of abhorrent behaviour will not be tolerated,” added Berlin.
