Man arrested for slapping waitress on the buttocks

A New York man could spend as much a year in jail, after he slapped a waitress on the buttocks at the local Denny’s restaurant this week.

The New York Post reports that the 65-year-old Clarence H. Locke was arrested earlier this week, after the incident was first reported to her Denny’s manager and subsequently confirmed on CCTV footage.

The victim of the alleged assault, Jayme Adair, spoke to WKTV this weekend.

She explained it was the most humiliating experience she ever had during her tenure at the company. The matter has been compounded by the fact that Locke was at the facility with his wife, who was away at the restroom when the incident happened.

“The customer and his wife came in together. I didn’t recognize him by his face, but when he walked in he said, ‘Hello Jayme,'”Adair told WKTV.

“I get their drink order, I turn to walk away and he reaches out of the booth, almost falls out of the booth and tries, and hits my butt,” added Adair.

“And I was just in shock. I never had something like that happen to me,” she said.

“It made me feel embarrassed, it was degrading, it made me feel…it made me feel like I did something wrong and I know I didn’t do anything wrong.”

“So many women go through this and it is not fair. I did nothing wrong and I did not deserve that.”
