Kaizer Chiefs youngster Yusuf Bunting is excited at the prospect of playing for the first team in 2018/19 after joining the squad for pre-season.
The 22-year old striker was one of the standout performers in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge last term as Amakhosi conquered the reserve league.
Bunting said he is refreshed and looking forward to the new campaign having spent most of the off-season at home fasting.
He believes it is going to be exciting year for the Soweto giants as they make a return to continental football.
“I have been working hard during the break to keep my fitness levels high,” Bunting told the club’s official website.
‘It was the month of fasting because of Ramadan. So I mostly stayed at home in Lenasia.
“I am excited and ready. It’s also great that we will play on the African continent, participating in the CAF Confederation Cup starting in early 2019.”
