Baroka FC have snapped up Ranga Chivaviro from Ubuntu Cape Town FC.
The 25-year-old former Witbank Spurs and Cape Town All Stars striker excelled during Ubuntu’s first season in the National First Division as they secured their survival and impressed in the Nedbank Cup.
Before picking up an ankle sprain that kept him on the sidelines for the last two months of the season, Chivaviro scored 13 goals.
Ubuntu Cape Town coach Casey Prince revealed his delight at the move.
He told the club’s official website: “I’m really excited for Ranga’s move.
“Ranga was a big part of our success last year and we’re thankful for his efforts. Ranga was interested in improving and growing his game so that he could go to the next level.
“I personally enjoyed spending time with Ranga off the field. He’s a man of character, faith, and integrity which will make him a valuable member of the team at Baroka.”
