A swift response from the Johannesburg Flying Squad has led to the recovery of two hijacked vehicles and the arrest of four suspects.
According to the police report, the two vehicles were recovered around midday in Brixton, Johannesburg, on Wednesday.
The recovery came about as a result of police, alerted to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicle in Bryanston, spotting it in Empire Road.
A chase ensued and police eventually cornered the suspects in Brixton. Four suspects, aged between 28 and 38 were arrested, while the stolen vehicles and getaway cars were also recovered.
The suspects are set to appear in the Sophiatown Magistrate’s Court soon. They face charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
