Child rapist on the loose after jumping prison fence

Kansas police have launched a massive manhunt, after a convicted child rapist escaped from the Winfield Correctional Facility on Saturday night.

Robert Terrell (36) had been in that prison for just three days, before executing the escape. Authorities say he jumped the fence – that still happens in the 21st century.

“The Winfield Correctional Facility is reporting an escaped inmate from their grounds on N. College St. At approximately 8:50 p.m,” read a statement released by Cowley County Emergency Communications.

“It was reported to WCF staff that Robert Terrell jumped a fence on the west side of the correctional facility property. Terrell is described as a 36-year-old white male with red hair, 5’5″, 154 lbs., with an unknown clothing description. If you see Mr. Terrell, do not approach him and call 911 immediately,” continued the statement.

The man is considered dangerous.
