Woman tells cops she can’t be arrested, because she is white and clean


A 32-year-old South Carolina woman has sparked considerable outrage, after she protested her arrest because she was very clean, thoroughbred and white.

Lauren Elizabeth Cutshaw was pulled over by police, after failing to stop at an intersection, while travelling at 60mph. Once pulled over it was also established that Cutshaw had been driving under the influence.

She was also found in the possession of marijuana.

When it finally dawned on her that she would be detained, Cutshaw gave police a list of reasons why she should not be arrested.

According to a Bluffton Police Department report seen by the Island Packet, Cutshaw said: “I mean, I was celebrating my birthday. I’m a white, clean girl.”

In addition to this, is is reported that she made the following case for herself, to not be arrested.

– she’s had perfect grades her whole life

– she was a cheerleader

– she was a sorority girl

– her partner is a cop

– she graduated from a high accredited university

– she was in the National Honors Society.

According to the New York Post, the officers asked what exactly that meant,

To which she replied: “You’re a cop, you should know what that means.”

Cutshaw has since been released from jail, after being detained at the Beaufort County Detention Center.
