The death toll in the earthquake that hit the northwest of Haiti over the weekend has risen to 17.
The interior minister confirmed it on Tuesday, saying that around 350 people have been injured.
The closest town to the epicentre of the quake, Port-de-Paix, recorded nine deaths.
The quake hit the northern part of Haiti late on Saturday evening.
It measured 5.9, and according to the US Geological Survey, it struck at a depth of 11.7km.
Countries affected by they quake aside from Haiti include the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, and Turks and Caicos Islands.
