Reeva Steenkamp's family are set to release a documentary series to tell her story.
Steenkamp was murdered by South African paralympian Oscar Pistorious on Valentine’s Day in 2013. The model would have celebrated her 36th birthday today.
Steenkamp’s family and close friends are eager to tell their story of the harrowing murder and subsequent televised trial that captivated Mzansi and the world.
"Through this documentary, we are determined to tell Reeva's story, people will get to see another side that seeks to answer some of the questions that have been left unanswered, the truth and who Reeva was," her mother, June, told IOL.
"She would want us to do this for her."
The series will be directed and produced by Warren Batchelor and Tony Miguel, while the family hopes to raise money for filming via crowdfunding.
Pistorius is currently serving a 13-year prison sentence for the murder.
