Durban gets snazzy new terminal for MSC cruises

eThekwini harbour is getting a brand new dedicated cruise terminal that will serve as the home for MSC cruises.

The R200 million terminal will serve as homeport for two classes of of MSC cuise ship for the first time ever in Mzansi.

"This multi-user terminal will make Durban an even more desirable destination for cruise ships from all over the world," said MD for MSC Cruises South Africa Ross Volk.

"All the partners in the initiative will shortly sign off the final design of the terminal and ground-breaking is scheduled to begin in November this year."

Durban is increasingly becomng a popular attraction for South Africans seeking affordable all-inclusive vacations.
